Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order 31073228, per BuyBoard Contract 601-19, with Grapevine Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, for the purchase of two ½ Ton Quad Cab Pickup Trucks for the Codes Administration Department.
Item Summary
The purchase of these trucks will replace the cancelation of 2 trucks on Purchase Order 31066317 that the City Council approved on May 24, 2022.
Two ½ Ton, Quad Cab, 4x2 Pickup Trucks will replace two 2010 Pickup Trucks for the Codes Administration Department. The unit cost is $36,186 per vehicle, and the total for both units is $72,372.
With a $400 BuyBoard Fee included, the total cost of this purchase will be $72,772.
This purchase is made through the Texas Association of School Boards Local Government Purchasing Cooperative, Contract 601-19, using the electronic purchasing system, BuyBoard. The purchasing cooperative is an administrative agency created in accordance with Section 791.001 of the Texas Government Code and used to obtain the benefits and efficiencies that can accrue to members of a cooperative, to comply with state bidding requirements, and to identify qualified vendors of commodities, goods, and services.
Fiscal Impact
This purchase of $72,772 is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92720, the General Fund Vehicle Replacement for Fiscal Year 2021-22.
