Lubbock Police Department Annual Report, Update, and Plans Floyd Mitchell, chief of police, gave a presentation on the 2022 Annual Report, Updates, and Plans of the Lubbock Police Department and answered questions from City Council. Topics discussed included: organizational structure; current staffing levels; department call activity, including calls for service and officer initiated events; traffic crash and enforcement summary; crime statistics, including property crimes, crimes against persons, homicide analysis, and special operations and crime suppression activity; the hybrid gang violence reduction plan; the juvenile curfew enforcement plan; academy and recruiting efforts; capital improvement projects and updates; significant events that the Lubbock Police Department was involved in during 2022; and response to minor, non-injury traffic accidents and the blue form report. |
