Resolution - Engineering:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Standard Utility Agreement Contract 18014, with the Texas Department of Transportation, for the Loop 88 Segment 3D Water Line Relocation Project.
Item Summary
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has identified the route for the proposed State Highway Loop 88 outer loop corridor. The limits of the proposed route are currently encompassing existing water infrastructure owned by the City of Lubbock. Pursuant to State rules and current intergovernmental agreements in effect, the City is required to relocate the water infrastructure to a location outside the proposed Loop 88 Right-of-Way. In accordance with Transportation Code §203.092 and the provisions of this Standard Utility Agreement (SUA), applicable expenses associated with the Loop 88 3D Water Line Relocation Project, will be reimbursed by the State.
The estimated total cost of this project covered under this SUA is $1,953,403.50, with a 97.53% reimbursement ratio.
The total cost includes the estimated easement acquisition cost of $183,366 that is required for this water line relocation project, and will be reimbursed at 100%.
TxDOT will reimburse the City in the amount of $1,909,683.57.
Fiscal Impact
This Standard Utility Agreement in the amount of $1,953,403.50, is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92857, Loop 88 Segment 3D Water Line Relocation.
