On May 11, 2021, the City Council approved the first reading of the ordinance. 1. Amend Capital Improvement Project (CIP) #92474, Yellow House Canyon 345/115kV Transformers, by decreasing the appropriation and funding in the amount of $1,000,000 from $11,260,000 to $10,260,000. This project will utilize $1,000,000 less in FY 2020 30-Year Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) Revolving Note Program funding. 2. Amend CIP #92475, Dunbar 345/115kV Transformers, by decreasing the appropriation and funding in the amount of $1,000,000 from $11,840,000 to $10,840,000. This project will utilize $1,000,000 less in FY 2020 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding. 3. Amend CIP #92609, Blackwater Draw to Folsom Point 345kV Line, by decreasing the appropriation and funding in the amount of $1,500,000 from $43,820,000 to $42,320,000. This project will utilize $1,500,000 less in FY 2020 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding. 4. Amend CIP #92610, Blackwater Draw to Double Mountain 345kV Line, by decreasing the appropriation and funding in the amount of $1,000,000 from $58,091,522 to $57,091,522. This project will utilize $1,000,000 less in FY 2020 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding. 5. Amend CIP #92661, Posey to Oliver 115kV line, by decreasing the appropriation and funding in the amount of $3,500,000 from $18,470,000 to $14,970,000. This project will utilize $2,300,000 less in FY 2019 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding and $1,200,000 less in FY 2020 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding. 6. Establish CIP #92710, Fiddlewood to Farmland 345kV Transmission Line, and appropriate funding in the amount of $8,000,000. This project will utilize $2,300,000 in FY 2019 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding and $5,700,000 in FY 2020 30-Year LP&L Revolving Note Program funding from the previously mentioned projects. The project scope and justification is as follows:
Project Scope: This project will cover LP&L’s costs of a portion of the Fiddlewood to Farmland 345kV Transmission Line.
Project Justification: LP&L anticipates that it will own a portion of the Fiddlewood to Farmland 345kV transmission line. This project is needed to account for the costs associated with the portion of the Fiddlewood to Farmland 345kV transmission line that LP&L will own.
