Resolution - Information Technology:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract 17230, with Johnson Technical Services, Inc., for repair and inspection services on City radio towers and associated equipment.
Item Summary
The City of Lubbock issued a request for proposals to establish a unit price contract for repair and inspection services for the City of Lubbock radio towers and associated equipment, in order to maintain the integrity of the radio communication network for the city.
In response to RFP 23-17230-DH, Johnson Technical Services, Inc., was the sole proposer. Staff recommends the contract for radio tower services be awarded to Johnson Technical Services, Inc.
The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option of (4) one-year extensions, said date of term beginning upon formal approval. The extent of services will be on an “as-needed” basis to be covered by the unit prices established by this proposal. The City does not guarantee any specific amount of compensation, volume, minimum, or maximum amount of services under this bid and resulting contract.
Fiscal Impact
Contract 17230 is up tob but not to exceed, $500,000 over a 5-year period, and is funded in the Capital Improvement Project 92754, CyberSecurity Infrastructure.
