The scope of the contract is to provide moving and relocation services for typical furniture, fixtures, materials, appliances, supplies and equipment found in City offices and departmental settings. Department moves may vary in scope, size and frequency. All labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, fees, taxes, incidentals, and material necessary to perform the services, are to be included and provided by the contractor. Moves will occur building-to-building and department-to-department, with all locations within the City of Lubbock (Texas). The City of Lubbock solicited qualified contractors via Request for Proposals (RFP) 23-17079-DH. The 3 responsive contractors were evaluated using the following criteria: Qualifications (30 points), Experience (30 points), and Price (40 points). Evaluation committee members included staff from Facilities Management and after review provided the following scores.

Staff is recommending award to the two highest proposals. The second-highest ranking proposal, Bolt Furniture Delivery & Installation, Inc. was awarded a contract by the City Council at the previous meeting. The proposed contract with the highest ranking proposal, Hart Moving & Storage, Inc., will be for a term of one year, with the option of 4, one-year extensions, said date of term beginning upon formal approval. The extent of services will be on an “as-needed” basis to be covered by the unit prices established by this bid. The City does not guarantee any specific amount of compensation, volume, minimum, or maximum amount of services under this bid and resulting contract. |
