Resolution - Fleet Services:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order 31073727, with Roberts Truck Center, for the purchase of a Class 8 Commercial Cab and Chasis with a Custom Flat Bed Container, for the Solid Waste Recycling Collection Department.
Item Summary
For Fiscal Year 2022-2023, the Solid Waste Recycling Collection Department was approved to replace a 2007 Container Truck that had exceeded its useful life and was in need of extensive repairs.
In response to ITB 23-17283-SB, three bids were received and opened on May 2, 2023. Two vendors submitted valid bids, and a third vendor submitted a bid without including any bid information. The valid bids were as follows:

For Line Items 1 and 2, Fleet Staff recommended award to the lowest bidder who met all specifications, Roberts Truck Center of Lubbock, Texas.
The total cost for the purchase of both the Class 8 Cab & Chassis and the Extended Warranty will be $135,494.92.
Fiscal Impact
Purchase Order 31073727 for $135,494.92, is funded in Capital Improvement Project 92787, the General Fund Vehicle Replacement FY2022-2023.
