Board Appointments - City Secretary:
Consider appointments of City Council members to the South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG) Board.
Item Summary
The City of Lubbock is entitled to five positions on the SPAG Board, and these positions must be occupied by elected officials. This is based on one representative for each 50,000 persons total population. One vacated position was created with the departure of former Council Member David Glasheen. Council Members Christy Martinez-Garcia, Gordon Harris, Brayden Rose, and Tim Collins currently serve in the other four positions.
