Garland Kimbrell and Donna Capron are dedicating right-of-way to the City of Lubbock to be utilized for roadway improvements on the 114th Street: Indiana Avenue to University Avenue Capital Improvements Bond Project, located on the south side of 114th Street, west of Akron Avenue, and east of Detroit Avenue. The proponents will dedicate a 15,507 square-foot tract of land for street right-of-way purposes, at a cost of $5.00 per square foot, for a land cost of $77,535.00, plus the cost of roadway improvements consisting of $2,000.00 for gates, $15,750.00 for Pipe Fencing, and $250.00 for a mailbox. This transaction is subject to final approval by the City Council and approval of title.

Fiscal Impact

The total cost of land acquisition is $95,535.00 plus closing costs. This acquisition is funded in Capital Improvements Project 92822, 114th Street: Indiana Avenue to University Avenue – 22B.
