Resolution - City Manager:
Consider a resolution extending the initial Downtown Parking Task Force term, in order to provide the Task Force adequate time to complete the tasks assigned to it by the City Council.
Item Summary
On May 5, 2022, the City Council created the Downtown Parking Task Force, appointed its nine members, and established its scope of review and duties. The Task Force was originally given a four-month term to complete the duties. Following a Kick-Off Meeting on June 15, 2022, and a subsequent meeting on July 7, 2022, the Task Force believes the four-month time frame does not give adequate time to review the Downtown Parking Master Plan and make recommendations.
The Task Force requests an extension of their term to March 31, 2023, by which time they will make recommendations to the Central Business District Tax Increment Financing District Advisory Board and the City Council.
