On July 11, 2023, the City Council approved the first reading of the ordinance.
I. Amend the Public Health Cost Center by adding four additional full-time positions, one Public Health Program Coordinator and three Health Promotion Workers. The new positions will be grant funded.
The grant is an Innovative Healing Centered Project (IHCP grant). The City of Lubbock Health Department is the public health authority for the City of Lubbock and Lubbock County. The Department's goal is to improve the health of Lubbock by increasing core public health capacity. Core focus areas include clinical services, public health emergency preparedness, research, disease surveillance, linking and referral to community resources, and behavioral health. |
