Resolution - Information Technology: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 to Contract 14220, with Benchmark Business Solutions, to add and replace Workcentre printers and consumable supplies for the Lubbock Police Department Patrol Division Stations and other City facilities.
Item Summary
This amendment will replace 5 and add 9 new digital multifunction devices. The monthly base charge will be $9,510.00 for the devices.  The new Workcentre copiers will be placed on a 17-month lease to co-term with the current contract. The contract provides annual maintenance services, toner and staples. The amended contract will be supported locally by Benchmark employees and local Xerox factory-trained service engineers. This contract is with Benchmark Business Solutions, using The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Contract No. 180103. TIPS is the Region 8 Education Service Center cooperative purchasing program, which offers contracts that have been established through open competition as prescribed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Fiscal Impact
Amendment No. 1 to the contract with Benchmark will cost $145,876.49.  The amended cost is budgeted in the Information Technology Operating Budget and the Public Safety Capital Project-Public Safety Improvement Project, 92551.
