Resolution - Police:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Purchase Order No. 10025516 with GT Distributors, Inc., for the purchase of Glock 45MOS, for the Police Department.
Item Summary
Our current issued Glock 22’s have ended their service life, so we needed to transition the department to a new pistol. Once our pistols reach the end of their service life, the manufacturers recommend replacement. The Glock 45MOS is a new platform that allows for officers to utilize Red Dot sights which show improvements with shooting accuracy. The new Glock 45 is a 9 mm which has become the preferred duty round for law enforcement. This will save costs on ammunition and training.
