Resolution - City Manager: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Texas Tech University, to provide building inspection services to facilitate the construction of a project located on Texas Tech property at 2503 Mac Davis Lane.

Item Summary

Texas Tech University (TTU) owns the property at 2503 Mac Davis Lane, and has leased this property to Red Raider Facilities Foundation (RRFF). RRFF plans to construct a football facilities project including the reconstruction of the south end zone, football training facilities, visitor locker rooms, and all adjacent buildings and systems at the TTU football stadium.  RRFF has requested that the City perform certain building inspections to facilitate the construction of the project. This proposed interlocal agreement provides for such services at the standard building permit fee rates. TTU desires to grant permission to the City to enter TTU property for the purposes of these inspections, and recommend approval of this agreement by the City Council. At the completion of the construction project, the land will revert to TTU, and this agreement will terminate.

Fiscal Impact

All standard City of Lubbock fees for services rendered will apply to this project.
