Consider and take action on the appointments of the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for the Lubbock Water Advisory Commission.
Item Summary
Per Resolution No. 2009-R0198, "The City Council of the City of Lubbock shall designate the Chair and Vice-Chairperson from the appointed members of the Lubbock Water Advisory Commission." Jay House is the current Chair and Melanie Barnes is the current Vice Chair. Jay House has served as Chair since 2020 and Melanie Barnes has served as Vice Chair since 2020. The Staff liaison is recommending Melanie Barnes for Chair and Celeste Hoehne for Vice Chair.
