Resolution - Information Technology: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract 17464, with Unite Private Networks, LLC, for the lease of dark fiber optic circuits to connect City facilities.

Item Summary

The contract with Unite Private Networks, LLC, is for the lease of dark fiber optic circuits from the Police Academy to Citizens Tower at a monthly cost of $1,450 for one pair; and from Citizens Tower to the Emergency Operations Center at a monthly cost of $1,250 for one pair of fiber optic cables.  This is a three-year agreement with an annual cost of $32,400 and a total cost of $97,200.   The purchase is made available with Contract 220105 Technology Solutions, Products and Services between The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) & Unite Private Networks (UPN).

Fiscal Impact

The annual cost of $32,400 is budgeted in the Information Technology operating budget.
