Item Summary

On August 8, 2023, The City Council approved the first reading of the ordinance. Amend the FY 2022-23 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Grant Budget in the Community Development Fund by increasing the appropriation by $402,457, from $1,997,006 to $2,399,463. Additional funding will come from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. This ordinance will appropriate additional funding for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Grant within the Community Development Fund. This is a pass through grant from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, to provide energy assistance by paying for energy bills as well as the repair and replacement of existing heating and cooling units for citizens of Lubbock County.
