Consider and take action on the appointments of the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for the Lubbock Water Advisory Commission.
Item Summary
Per Resolution No. 2009-R0198, "The City Council of the City of Lubbock shall designate the Chair and Vice-Chairperson from the appointed members of the Lubbock Water Advisory Commission." Melanie Barnes is the current Chair and Celeste Hoehne is the current Vice Chair. Melanie Barnes has served as Chair since 2022 and Celeste Hoehne has served as Vice Chair since 2022. The Staff liaison is recommending Jay House for Chair and Steve Verett for Vice Chair.
