Resolution - Aviation: Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute Federal Aviation Administration Airport Terminal Program Grant Agreement 3-48-0138-057-2023, by and between the City of Lubbock and the United States of America, acting through the Federal Aviation Administration, in connection with the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport Terminal Electrical System Renovation.

Item Summary

Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport is eligible to receive funds from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the Fiscal Year 2023 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Airport Terminal Program (ATP). Funds under this program are available for terminal reconstruction, development, accessibility, and improving energy efficiency for terminals and other purposes. This grant is for the Airport Terminal Electrical System Renovation at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport. The minimum grant award is $4,750,000.

Fiscal Impact

Notice of the grant award from the Federal Aviation Administration total allocation is $4,750,000.  The funds are included in Capital Improvement Project 92770, Terminal Building Electrical Upgrades.
