Resolution - Right-of-Way: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept, for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, one Street Dedication Deed, one Drainage Easement, and one Right-of-Way Deed, in connection with certain real property located in Section 7, Block JS, Lubbock County, Texas, to be utilized for the Erskine Street Roadway Project.

Item Summary

Gregory and Sherry Blanchard are dedicating irght-of-way and a drainage easement to the City of Lubbock, to be utilized for roadway improvements on the Erskine Street Capital Improvements Project, at the northeast corner of Erskine Street and Milwaukee Avenue.   The proponents will dedicate a 9,057 square feet drainage easement and 5,273 square feet of land for street right-of-way purpose, for the total consideration of $39,206, as valued in appraisal reports, subject to final approval by the City Council and approval of title.   In addition, at no cost to the City of Lubbock, certain segments of Milwaukee Avenue and Erskine Street right-of-way easements will be converted to Dedicated Street Right-of-Way.

Fiscal Impact

The total cost of the land acquisition is $39,206 plus closing costs, and is funded in Capital Improvements Project 92713, Erskine Street.
