Resolution - City Manager:
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 replacing Article II-Scope of Services, to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding Agreement, by and between the City of Lubbock and StarCare Spcialty Health System, for the Construction of Infrastructure to serve as a Center for Behavioral Health Crisis.
Item Summary
StarCare will be responsible for the construction of a +/- 10,000 square foot (approximate) service site, to be adjoined with or on the same location known as Sunrise Canyon, and will be known as the Hope Center.
The new facility will be utilized to deliver behavioral health services to people experiencing mental health distress. They will receive appropriate specialty healthcare, thereby avoiding emergency rooms, jails and/or in-patient hospitals, as appropriate. By changing Article II - Scope of Services, a well-defined timeline for the completion of the project is identified. Major milestones are as follows.
