Resolution - Public Health Services: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Administration Substance Use Disorder Services Grant Agreement Health and Human Services Contract No. HHS000779500001, and all related documents, by and between the City of Lubbock, and the State of Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

Item Summary

This is an existing grant. The Administration Substance Use Disorder Services (ADMIN) Contract was initially awarded to the Public Health Department in 2020 from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), to establish an administrative group to oversee substance use treatment services in the community. The role of this group is to oversee the subcontracting of substance use treatment services in the area, to execute memoranda of understanding with partners, and to provide administrative oversight of subcontractors, in order to ensure compliance and assure quality of services rendered.  Amendment No. 3 renews the contract for the state Fiscal Year 2025, adds funding, and amends and modifies the Fiscal Requirements, Categorical Budget, Contract Affirmation, and Uniform Terms and Conditions, as outlined in the contract. Amendment No. 3 reflects a revised termination date of August 31, 2025. This document requires an electronic signature.

Fiscal Impact

Amendment No. 3 adds $250,000 to the state Fiscal Year 2025.  A local match is not required for this grant. A budget amendment is not needed since this funding is included in the FY 2024-25 Budget.
