The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has identified the route for the proposed State Highway Loop 88 outer loop corridor. The limits of the proposed route are currently encompassing existing water infrastructure owned by the City of Lubbock. Pursuant to state rules and current intergovernmental agreements in effect, the City is required to relocate the water infrastructure to a location outside the proposed Loop 88 Right-of-Way. The City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to relocate approximately 6,200 linear feet of a 12-inch water line from Milwaukee Avenue to Frankford Avenue. In response to RFP 24-18185-TF, the following bids were received and opened on July 30, 2024.
