On September 12, 2023, the City Council will consider Amendment No. 1 to the Municipal Service Plan, increasing the total acreage to 411 acres. The next step in the voluntary annexation process is to hold a public hearing. Following the public hearing, the City Council may consider an ordinance annexing approximately 411 acres, adjacent to the eastern city limits of the City of Lubbock, north of East 4th Street and east of East Loop 289, into Lubbock's corporate limits, along with the adjacent right-of-way.
