Resolution - Engineering: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 2 to Contract 15089, with Kimley-Horn and Associates Professional Engineering, for bid and construction phase services associated with the 114th Street Reconstruction Project, from Slide Road to Quaker Avenue.

Item Summary

On March 24, 2020, Kimley-Horn and Associates was awarded Contract 15089 to design 114th Street from Slide Road to Quaker Avenue. A 6-month Modification for Time Extension on Professional Services Contract was granted on March 23, 2021. On September 14, 2021, the City Council approved Amendment No. 1 to Contract 15089. This amendment authorized Kimley-Horn and Associates to provide Professional Engineering Services during the bid and construction phases of this project. These services increased the base contract by $108,100, and provided an additional 2 years to complete their services. Amendment No. 2 to this contract will extend their services an additional 4 months with no additional fee. This amendment will extend construction phase services to include close out documents and record drawing documentation.
