On November 11, 2022, the Lubbock City Council approved the purchase of 3 Mid-Size SUVs and 1) Compact SUV. Purchase Order 31069847 for $137,514.00 was issued to Randall Reed’s Planet Ford 635. However, in July 2023 the vendor was notified that Ford Motor Company could not fulfill the order.
ITB-3-17528-SB was for the purchase of three (3) Mid-Size SUVs and One (1) Compact SUV to replace that canceled order.
Two (2) bids were received and opened on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from Frontier Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Lubbock, Texas and Grapevine DJC of Grapevine, Texas.

After reviewing the both bid submittals, the Fleet Operations Department recommended awarding to the bidder with the shortest Delivery Day ARO (15 Days), Frontier Dodge Jeep Ram of Lubbock, Texas.
Frontier Dodge will furnish Line Items #1, #3 and #4.
The $44,985 price of Line Item #2:Mid-Size Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) for Fleet Operations was over the CIP's approved budget, and it will be purchased later, if additional funding can be appropriated. |
