The purpose of ITB 23-17097-SB was to request bids from vendors for the maintenance and repair of the City’s Light & Medium Duty Vehicles and Equipment.
Four (4) vendors submitted bids: Carizma Car Care, Pinkerton’s Garage, Scott’s Complete Car Care, and Williams Brake Tune & Tire.

The contract will be for a term of one year with 2, one-year extensions, said date of term beginning upon formal approval. All stated annual quantities are approximations of usage during the time period to be covered by pricing established by this bid. Actual usage may be more or less. Order quantities will be determined by actual need. The City of Lubbock does not guarantee any specific amount of compensation, volume, minimum, or maximum amount of services under this bid and resulting contract.
The Fleet Operations Staff recommends award of Category 1 through Category 5 to all four (4) vendors who submitted bids, to ensure proper coverage of maintenance and repair for the City of Lubbock’s light and medium duty vehicles and equipment. |
| The Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Account will be used to charge the cost of the maintenance and repairs to the various City Departments. For Fiscal Year 2022-23, $6,529,100 was appropriated in the account, and for Fiscal Year 2023-24, $8,990,569 has been appropriated. |
