Discuss, consider and take appropriate action authorizing the Williamson County Sheriff's Office to accept funding through the Urban Area Security Initiative Federal Fiscal Year 2024-Regular Project (UASI-R) grant.
Background
On March 26, 2024, the Commissioners Court approved the Sheriff's Office to apply for $264,390.00 through the UASI-R grant (agenda item 23) to provide night vision for the SWAT team. We will receive $118,976.00, if the court approves. No resolution or match is required.  Staff recommends the following action: Approve the Sheriff's Office to accept the UASI-R FY2024 grant and authorize appropriate County department personnel to complete documentation relevant to the implementation of the grant.
