Resolution - Aviation: Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract 16678, with Lydick-Hooks Roofing Company, for Hangar Roof Maintenance at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.
Item Summary
As a result of an evaluation of various airport-owned buildings, a number of facilities have been identified for roof maintenance or roof replacement. The contract is for hangar roof maintenance for Hangar 20, AeroCare Hangar, and Berry T-Hangars at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport. In response to ITB 22-16678-TF, bids were received and opened on August 11, 2022, from the following companies.

* If adhesion testing indicates the existing hangar(s) has a silicone-based coating, then furnish and install a new complete silicone-based coating, according to Specification Section 07 56 01 in lieu of the acrylic coating specified in Specification 07 56 00.
Options 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, and 5-1 could be selected based on the conditions encountered on each roof. The hangar roof maintenance will take 250 calendar days for completion and $25.00 per day for liquidated damages.
Airport staff and Airport Advisory Board recommend contract award to the lowest bidder, Lydick-Hooks Roofing Co. of Lubbock, Texas, for $319,295, not to exceed $349,357 if options 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, and 5-1 are required to complete the project.
Fiscal Impact
Contract 16678 with Lydick-Hooks Roofing Company, for a not-to-exceed total of $349,357, will be funded from Capital Project 253.92579.
