Red Canyon Development, LLC, is the owner of the tract of land containing approximately 16.05 acres north of Woodrow Road and west of Quaker Avenue, located inSection 6, Block AK, in Lubbock County.
On November 1, 2022, the City Council approved a resolution adopting the Municipal Service Plan, which was agreed upon by the City of Lubbock and the property owners, based on the original petition to annex 17.33 acres.
On December 6, 2022, the City Council held a public hearing and approved the first reading or the ordinance by a vote of 7-0 for the proposed annexation, based on an amended metes and bounds description, which reduced the annexation area to 16.05 acres and excluded adjacent right-of-way.
Amendment No. 1 to the Municipal Service Plan will update the acreage referenced in the Plan to 16.05 acres.
