Discuss and recommend 2025 fees for Pollock Community Water Park
BACKGROUND
As part of the annual departmental review of fees, staff is recommending an increase in various fees for Pollock Community Water Park in 2025. In 2020 the daily admission fees were increased slightly; in 2022 the season pass fees and daily admission fees were increased. The proposed increase in fees is necessary to help offset pool staffing costs to remain competitive with the market, as well as increased operating costs.
We surveyed eight other area municipal pools, reviewing information and comparing fees from 2024. Please see the attached document for that information. Also attached are the proposed fees for 2025; staff is also recommending elimination of the reduced evening fee after 5PM.
Based on the past three-year average for each category of fees, the total estimated increase in revenue with these increases would be approximately $20,000 - $25,000.
