Discuss and recommend Quarry Park Master Plan

BACKGROUND

Parks Department staff has been working with Rettler Corporation and the Quarry Park Neighborhood Association on development of a master plan for the park. Due to the Quarry Park property being a former quarry and landfill, development of the site has a number of restrictions and limitations. Neighborhood Input meetings were held in May and July to hear ideas from the park neighbors on what they would like to include in the park master plan. A preferred concept plan was developed that the neighborhood association had displayed at their National Night Out event in early August so further public input could be provided. Following that, Rettler Corporation developed the final preferred concept plan along with cost estimates for the proposed park development. Both of those items are included in this meeting packet.

Representatives from Rettler Corporation will present the preferred concept plan at this meeting and answer any questions the Board may have. The Board is being asked to recommend approval of the park plan to the Plan Commission and Common Council.
