A meeting of the Community Multicultural Committee of the City of Garland, Texas will be held at the aforementioned location, date, and time to discuss and consider the following agenda items.

| 1. | APPROVAL OF MINUTES | |||||
| a. | Consider approval of the minutes for September 19, 2024 meeting. | |||||
| 2. | PUBLIC COMMENTS Persons who desire to address the Committee on any item on the agenda are allowed three minutes to speak. Testimony may be held until the item is considered or given at the beginning of any committee meeting. Invited testimony may also occur at any time, subject to a request of the Member of the Committee and with the approval of the Committee Chairperson. |

| 3. | ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION | |||||
| a. | Election of Board Chair and Vice-Chair The commission elects officers annually, with a Nominating Committee presenting a slate of candidates during the October meeting, followed by a secret ballot election. The Chairperson, who presides over meetings and represents the CMC, and the Vice Chairperson, who acts in the Chairperson's absence, serve one-year terms, with a limit of three consecutive terms. |

| b. | Review CMC Financial Report City Staff will review FY 2024 & 2025 budget information with the CMC. |
|||||
| c. | Review Monthly Calendar Staff and the Commission will discuss the monthly calendar and event participation for 2024. |
|||||
| d. | CMC Committee Reports and Event Participation Review Committees for the CMC may report out meeting information, individuals who participated in events may also provide information. |
|||||
| e. | Local Faith and Business Community Outreach Update Community Multicultural Commission member Jennifer Nguyen will provide an update on community outreach with the local faith and business communities. |
