OF THE CITY OF MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA MET IN A SPECIAL CALL SESSION AT THE MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. COMMUNITY CENTER JUNE 17, 2024
The City Council of the City of Muskogee, Oklahoma, met in a Special Call Session at 6:30 p.m., on June 17, 2024, at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, 300 W. Martin Luther King Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma, with Mayor W. Patrick Cale presiding.

Meeting was called to order by Mayor W. Patrick Cale and the City Clerk called the roll as follows:

1 | (No Action) Discuss the upcoming General Obligation (GO) Bond and Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Sales Tax Election, to be held on August 27, 2024. (Mike Miller) City Manager Mike Miller welcomed citizens to the meeting. He explained on August 27, 2024, voters will consider whether to approve a General Obligation (GO) Bond to accomplish key projects throughout the City. He stated the City of Muskogee has not passed a GO Bond in more than 50 years. If passed, property taxes would increase by about 15 mils, or approximately $12.50/month for every $100,000.00 of property value. He explained some of the projects would begin immediately, while others would be phased in over a period of time. Mr. Miller stated three (3) of the propositions will represent portions of the GO Bond, while the fourth proposition will allow voters to choose to renew the funding for an existing Capital Improvement Project sales tax in Muskogee for an additional six (6) years, expiring in 2031. Mr. Miller explained the following propositions :
