ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve and award Bid #2008-889 for the six (6) month Liquid Asphalt – Transport Load Annual Contract.
BACKGROUND
Bid packets were mailed to three (3) area vendors October 16, 2007. A bid tabulation is attached for your review.

ANALYSIS
The low responsible bids meeting all specifications were received as follows, for the unit prices bid:
Performance Grade Asphalt Cleveland Asphalt Products, Inc.
CRS-2 $ 1.46 per gallon HFRS-2 $ 1.6408 per gallon
SS-1 $ 1.52 per gallon
AE-P $ 1.69 per gallon
CSS-1 $ 1.52 per gallon
It is my recommendation to award the annual contract to Performance Grade Asphalt, in Hitchcock and Cleveland Asphalt Products, Inc., in Shepherd, for the unit prices bid and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
