ACTION REQUEST
Consider and award contract for reconstruction of a three-3) bedroom, two (2) bath, single-family structure at 222 20th Ave. N., Texas City, TX 77590 in response to RFB no. 2024-446. Authorize Mayor Johnson the authority to enter into contract with DSW Homes, LLC.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
On January 23, 2024, BID-2024-446 was made available to the public for the construction of a three (3) bedroom, two (2) bath single-family structure at: 222 20th Ave. N., Texas City, TX 77590. Bids were to be submitted on or before February 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Three bids were received from DSW Homes, LLC. (digital submission), Arkitektura Development, Inc. (hard copy and digital), and A I Legacy, LLC. (digital). On February 22, 2024, A I Legacy, LLC., withdrew their bid via email. The most responsive bid was received from DSW Homes, LLC. The City has exercised the right to waive any irregularities and to make the award providing the best value to the City.
RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Director of Community Development & Grants Administration that the Commission approve this award and grant the Mayor permission to enter into a contract with DSW Homes, LLC., on behalf of the City.
