Consider and award a contract for miscellaneous repairs & restoration of exterior walls & roof at Moore Memorial Public Library to Brazos Commercial Roofing for the amount of $425,857.95. Authorize the permission to enter into a contract with Brazos Commercial Roofing.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, a total of six bids were submitted by prospective contractors for the referenced project. The bids were opened and read aloud and recorded by PCI representative, at 2:00 p.m. on the noted date. A tabulation of the bids is attached.

Based on the bid tabulation, Brazos Commercial Roofing (Brazos) was the apparent low bidder with a submitted Base Bid of $40
5,579.00. Including costs for Performance & Payment bonds (5% or $20,278.95), the total bid for Brazos would be $425,857.95. PCI reviewed the bids and supplemental information submitted by each bidder for evaluation purposes. PCI has successfully completed roofing and restoration projects with Brazos over the past years. PCI contacted Brazos to confirm their bid was valid and could perform the specified work for the submitted pricing. Brazos indicated as such, but requested that the unit prices could be adjusted to be more commensurate with other bidders, if awarded the work.
 

Based on the evaluation of Price Consulting, Inc. (Professional Consultants) of the subject qualifications and information submitted,  Brazos Commercial Roofing is considered to be the "preferred" and most responsive bidder for this project. PCI recommends selecting Brazos for the specified work, including selecting Performance and Payment Bonds for a total contract amount of $425,857.95.
