ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Ceremonial Oath of Office: Each newly sworn in Officer may have a Ceremonial Oath administered by a person of their choosing. (City Secretary)
BACKGROUND
You should have received a memo outlining that you may have anyone you wish to swear you in. An official who meets the state's requirements for swearing in an elected official will be conducted quietly before or after the meeting. Attached is the Oath that you may provide to someone to practice the swearing in. If you do not have someone, let us know and the Mayor or City Secretary will swear you in at the meeting.
