ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 16-094, approving the purchase of four (4) vehicles for various City departments. (Purchasing)
BACKGROUND
On November 1, 2016 bid packets were mailed out to area vendors. Bids opened on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. a bid tabulation is attached for your review.
Funds are available as follows:
Spec A - 501705-55020 - $27,720.00
Spec B - 602302-55020 - $23,188.00
Spec C - 602403-55020 - $22,000.00 + 602403 55150 - $389.00 = $22,389.00
Spec F - 602301-55020 - $21,185.00
ANALYSIS
The lowest responsible bid meeting all the specifications, was received from Caldwell Country Ford in Rockdale Texas for the total amount $95,182.00.
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department to award the purchase and delivery of Bid # 2017-327 New 2017 Various Pickup Trucks and SUVs to Caldwell Country Ford for the total amount of $95,182.00
