Consider and take action on Resolution No. 17-017, approving and awarding a contract for bid # 2017-333 North Service Center Roof Replacement Project. (Public Works)

On February 9, 2017 The bid was advertised and bid packets were sent out. A total of 5 bids were received and opened on February 28, 2017. The low responsible meeting all requirements, was Pyramid Waterproofing.

A bid tabulation an the engineer's recommendation are attached for your review.

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department, that the City Commission award this project to Pyramid Waterproofing, Inc., for amount bid and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. Public Works also asks that the Mayor be authorized to execute change orders not to exceed 25% of the contract amount without bringing the matter before the Commission.
