ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 17-030, approving a contract for the 517 Line Extension for Dickinson I.S.D. (Purchasing)
BACKGROUND
Bid packets were made available to vendor March 9, 2017. A letter of recommendation and bid tabulation are attached for your review.
ANALYSIS
The low responsible bid meeting all specifications, was received from MMG Contractors, LLC for a total amount of $709,285.00.
It is the recommendation of the City Engineer and ARKK Engineers, to award Bid # 2017-336 FM 517 Water Line Extension for Dickinson ISD Project, to MMG Contractors, LLC. for the amount of $709,285.00 and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
We further request that the Mayor be authorized to approve any change order, not to exceed 25% of the contract amount, without bringing the matter before the City Commission.
