ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 17-062, approving expenditures for emergency repair of the irrigation system at Bayou Golf Course due to hurricane damage. (Recreation & Tourism)
BACKGROUND
As a result of Hurricane Harvey, 12 of the 17 irrigation boxes suffered tremendous damage from 3 to 5 ft of rising water. Due to the urgency of getting the irrigation system back up and running to maintain the watering of the greens and tee boxes, we are recommending to authorize the work to Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply - BuyBoard #529-17. Estimated cost is $54,500.
