ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 18-048, approving a contract for the FM 517 Water Plant Phase 1 Project. (Public Works)
BACKGROUND
Bid packets were made available to local area vendors on April 17, 2018 bids were received and opened Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.. A bid tabulation and letter of recommendation for your review.
ANALYSIS
The lowest responsible meeting all specifications, was received from W.W. Payton Corporation for a total amount of $1,550,000.00.
It is the recommendation of the City Engineer and ARKK Engineers, to award Bid # 2018-347 FM 517 Water Plant Phase 1 Project to W.W. Payton Corporation, for the amount of $1,550,000.00 and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
We further request that the Mayor be authorized to approve any change order, not to exceed 25% of the contract amount, without bringing the matter before City Commission.
