ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 18-061, appointing Commissioner At-Large Phil Roberts to the Galveston County Transit District Board of Directors. (City Secretary)
BACKGROUND
With the departure of Dee Ann Haney from the City Commission, the mayor would like to stay consistent with an elected official representing the City since it has budgetary impacts. Mayor Doyle has requested Commissioner Phil Roberts to be the City's representative on the Galveston County Transit District Boar of Directors. Phil Roberts has accepted and is quite interested in serving. Nicholas Finan will continue to serve as the City's alternate.
