ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-090, approving the purchase and installation of new carpet tile at the Charles T. Doyle Convention Center from Texans Floor Service through BuyBoard Contract No. 561-18, Local Government Purchasing Cooperative. (Recreation and Tourism)
BACKGROUND
Due to the high volume of events and wear and tear on the existing carpet over the past 10 years it is our recommendation to replace the old carpet tile in the 14,000 square foot Convention Center Ballroom.
ANALYSIS
It is recommended of the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department to award the purchase and installation of new carpet in the Convention Center Ballroom. Buyboard Contract #561-18 in the amount of $83,685.80. Funds are available in the FY 2019-2020 budget.
