ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)

Consider and take action approving Resolution No. 20-128, approving the awarding of Bid No. 2020-089 Stationery Items.

BACKGROUND

On Wednesday, October 28, 2020 the 2021-089 Stationery Items bid packet was mailed and eamialed to various vendors.  Bid opening was on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

ANALYSIS

Although bids were requested by various vendors, Dreyfus Printing was the only vendor to submit a bid. Dreyfus Printing currently is under contract with the City for stationery items. Dreyfus Printing has performed well with serving the City and has accommodated the City outside of the contract with reasonable quotes on special order items and transition to the new City logo at no additional cost.

It is the Purchasing Office recommendation to award Dreyfus Printing of Alvin Texas with the 2021-089 Stationery Items Contract as shown for the unit prices bid and the Mayor to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
