ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City's fiscal year 2020-21 budget.
BACKGROUND
A budget amendment is needed to appropriate funds to purchase a truck for the new part-time city marshal. The position was approved by City Commission under Ordinance No. 20-48 on November 4, 2020.
The quote for the vehicle is attached. Funding will come from the capital equipment replacement fund's unassigned fund balance.
The Municipal Court's annual equipment lease fee will increase accordingly to cover vehicle depreciation expense and future vehicle replacement.
