Consider and take action on Ordinance No. 21-01, amending the fiscal year 2020/2021 budget by changing the part-time Deputy City Marshal position to full-time and provide funding for the related salary and benefits. (Finance)

City Commission created the part-time Deputy City Marshal position by Ordinance No. 20-48 at their November 4, 2020 meeting.

The pay for the Deputy City Marshal position will be $25.00 per hour and 40 hours of work per week plus benefits.

This position will be part of the Municipal Court Department, with funding from the General Fund's unassigned fund balance.

The rationale for changing the position from part-time to full-time:
The change was recommended by the committee that is working on the policies and procedures for code enforcement due to the fact that PD is no longer going to work code enforcement cases.   The employee will work directly under Municipal Court Administrator and will office in the marshals offices. Once this employee is trained they will also be providing courtroom security.
