Approve termination of contract with Golden Triangle for the purchase and delivery of Water and Sewer Line Repair Material Annual Contract - sections 5, 8 and 9.  

Approve and award sections 5, 8 and 9 of Bid # 2007-858 Water and Sewer Line Repair Material Annual Contract as follows, for the unit prices bid:

I have attached a revised bid tabulation for your review.

On January 3, 2007, the City Commission awarded sections 5, 8 and 9 of the Water and Sewer Line Repair Material Annual Contract to Golden Triangle, for the unit prices bid.  As of November 6, 2007, Golden Triangle is ceasing operations and canceling all contracts.  I have attached a letter from Golden Triangle for your review.

HD Supply and MDN Enterprises have agreed to honor their pricing for sections 5, 8 and 9 stated on their bid forms dated 11/27/07.  I have attached a letter from HD Supply and MDN Enterprises for your review.

It is my recommendation to terminate the contract with Golden Triangle and award section 5 and 8 to HD Supply and section 9 to MDN Enterprises for the unit prices bid.
