ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Acceptance of this Interlocal Governmental Agreement in accordance with Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code. It is by and between the County of Galveston, the City of Texas City, City of LaMarque and the City of Galveston. Its purpose is to agree to an equal split of the 2009 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant awarded of $31,500.50.
Whereas, the County of Galveston, acting on behalf of itself and the other parties, has under joint application No. 2009-G9696-TX-DJ applied for and agreed to act as fiscal agent for the 2009 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) in the amount of $31,500.50.
BACKGROUND
This is a Federal Justice Assistance Grant, which is a joint application, involving the four (4) above listed participating jurisdictions, which is similar to the past four(4) BJA JAG Joint applications.
